DESCRIPTION
The aluminum refining degassing machine is a key equipment in the melting and casting process of aluminum and aluminum alloys. It is mainly used to remove hydrogen gas, oxide inclusions, and other harmful gases from the aluminum liquid, improve the purity of the aluminum liquid,thereby improving the mechanical properties of castings, reducing defects such as porosity and looseness. The following is an introduction to its main functions:
Dehydrogenation (degassing)
Function:Aluminum liquid is prone to absorbing hydrogen gas (H2) during the melting process, leading to defects such as porosity and pinholes in castings.
Principle: Inject inert gas (such as nitrogen, argon) or mixed gas diffuse hydrogen gas into the bubbles and be carried out of the melt.
Remove oxide inclusions
·Function: The surface of aluminum liquid is prone to oxidation, generating inclusions such as/AI2O3 which affect the strength and density of castings.
·Principle:By rotating the nozzle or rotor to shear the gas,small bubbles are generated,which adsorb and float up to remove suspended oxide particles.
Homogenization of ingredients
·Function:To prevent segregation of alloying elements (such as Si,Mg, Cu, etc.) and ensure uniform composition of aluminum liquid.
·Principle:By gas stirring or mechanical stirring, the aluminum liquid is thoroughly mixed to avoid uneven local composition.
Reduce slag content
·Function:Reduce slag (such as MgO, SiO2, etc.) in aluminum liquid and improve the surface quality of castings.
·Principle:During the process of bubbles rising,they carry slag to the surface of the aluminum liquid, making it easier to remove the slag.
